Just out of curiosity: Have you seen the XBOX commercials on TV?  What's up with that?!  

In one, some scary guy in a black trench coat picks up a computer chip and covers it with his hand, and then turns it into a cockroach!  In another one, the same guy is writing Xs all over a wall almost completely covering it.

Maybe I'm missing something here, is there some underlying message that eludes me?  Have the people at Microsoft gone senile?  (Hence the guy writing all over the walls.)  Will the XBOX come packed in cockroaches?  Is the XBOX headquarters infested with cockroaches?  Or have they just run out of ideas....

Ed Fries, Eat Your Words!  (Taken from one of my News posts)

That is quote taken from EGM (Electronic Gamming Monthly)'s August issue when they talked with Ed Fries about the gaming competition.  Sadly to say (well, not really), Nintendo has HUGE third party support.  I can name several right off the top of my head: Namco, Capcom, Sega, THQ, Activision etc.

Squaresoft and Nintendo

I think that it is in Nintendo's best interest to allow Squaresoft into the folds once again.  Even if they had caused another developer (Enix) to leave Nintendo.  Final Fantasy is a huge franchise, and if Square started developing for Nintendo it would help attract more people to the GAMECUBE.  More experienced gamers would think, "Well, Squaresoft is supposed to be one of the most sought after game developers, if their working for Nintendo, it must mean Nintendo has some ammo in their big guns."

Although, I bet that Hiroshi Yamauchi (the President of Nintendo) would love to have Square back, he's making them pay.  Because the Final Fantasy movie wasn't as big as anticipated, Squaresoft lost quite a bit of money, and they need it back, and right now Nintendo is their best bet for getting back their lost funds.  But Yamauchi won't let them in, making Square that much more anxiouse to develope for the GCN.

I don't think Yamauchi should wait too long though, as Square may find another way to make money, that way being Microsoft.
